In January 2018 students, teachers, staff, and administrators at Vacaville High School commenced the new year with two new, high performance, two-story buildings. As part of the Vacaville Unified School District’s Measure A Bond program for facility improvements, the campus received a 15-classroom Mathematics building and a comparable English building. Built by Enviroplex in partnership with Rainforth Grau Architects and stakeholder members of the Vacaville Unified School District, the new buildings delivered a combined 30,700 square feet of additional learning space.

Results
The feature-rich buildings include multi-fixture tiled restrooms, custodial and janitorial spaces, a primary fire alert control room and a staff workroom. Concrete in-filled balconies and impressive eight-foot wide stair towers provide students an inclusive atmosphere for peer interaction. The new high-tech features include custom learning walls and sustainable design components that will provide students with a productive learning environment and the school district with energy savings for years to come.
